I know there is a lot of work to be done and I don't have any resources right now for a none profit, I feel we gotta start standing for something more. We are desperate for money because we have struggled so much. It is a generational cycle that continues on and on, I am working on it.

With that I must discuss my television experiences that I have had lately. Of course reality television which I have no shame for sorry, it's a new form of entertainment and you know people don't fight that much in real life it's just something mindless to pass the time.

So here is what I have been watching of interest to get myself out of endless maze of reality shows. Before last season ended: Outsourced, 30 Rock, don't know where they are right now. 30 rock will probably be a midseason replacement for something. This season I am continuing on with the office minus Steve Carell, so far so good. I have added New Girl it's pretty good.

Finally, my new obsession is Korean drama. What's up Fox and Young Love Jae In (Glory Jane), formally man of honor. All on hulu and dramafever(the network). What's up Fox was a little taboo. The main character reporter Go or was the main character and her sister's pesky little brother, forgot his name. I am bad with remembering the names because of the language barrior. It's like watching Spanish soap operas and not knowing what is going on. Two languages I am going to have to learn soon because I am tired of subtitles, but at least they give you subtitles for these Korean shows. I have not invested a lot of time on Charming by the day, but that is another good one that I am watching. There will be more to come.

First I watched every episode of What's up Fox and asked myself what was I doing in 2005. I was becoming a mother at 25. The main character was 30 and in a place where I was only a year before that. She was a single woman running around wondering what more she could find for her life. She ended up having a lot of embarrsassing run ins with her sister's younger brother, Chul Soo. From my observance of the culture, if there is a large age difference, not even 10 years that older is considered an elder. One you must address formally, so when Reporter Go and Chul Soo have a crazy night of sorts, they try to block it out of there mind because it would be considered a little shameful. In the end of course they run off together and they live happily ever after with no worries of what their families and friends, think.

Finally I am deep into Young Love Jae in. The main character has no memory of an accident when she was younger that caused Bae in the father of Kim Young Kwang, to send her to an orphanage, while he takes the money to open up a Noodle Shop from the Vice President of the company he drove for, who becomes the President. Jae in's father was the President who died from an accident that occurred before the accident Jae in was in. Flash Forward to modern times and we have Kim Young Kwang. He had previously met her and the bane of his existence In Woo when his father a driver took him to a fancy "smancy" party at the Presidents home. Young Kwang bragged about playing baseball to In Woo, but he was horrible. Jae in spoke encouraging words and they promised to marry each other over him playing baseball when they got older. they meet again in the hospital, but don't recognize each other.Later she shows up at their house thinking she is Bae in's daughter throwing Young Kwangs mother into a horrible fit, his youngest of two sister angry to the bone, but the understanding grandmother takes her in. Also, Bae in is killed before he can clean up the mess that he allowed to happen. He was a humble man always bowing and apologizing for other's mistakes even taking the blame for the president's death as the driver. while Bae in or In Bae-S0rry got his name mixed up...While In Bae was obviously a humble and good husband and father, I guess desparation is what caused him to make a deal with the devil, the vice president. To keep quiet about what really happened to Jae in's family, and to open the noodle restaurant he always wanted. Those were ruthless people he was dealing with so it was a big mistake that made his family suffer and in the end did no good for anyone.

One moment that really made me want to write about this is how the people have such pride. Respect your elders. They speak in riddles and have high morals about such things. Most seem to have a good work ethic and they are very traditional. In one scene Young Kwang is trying to win over the VP for a job position and he does chinese riddles and then he begins making insults about a person in a high position. Then they new president laughs at the idea of a small person doing better then he. He had fooled the new pres. into laughing and everyone was a witness too it, so the pres. was forced to by the product that he was selling.

Anyway, the shows are really amazing and I feel like I am reading a book that I can't put down. I am recommending people to watch a few. I even recommended the network to my beauty supply store merchant. I think he gets home sick, so I told him that watching those shows might be fun and help him although he has been here quite a few years.

I just wanted to say that because when things get tough a lot of the characters say things like 'fighting" before they go a tend to their daily task, or you can be like Jae in he puts her fist up and says "cheers" in Korean before she handles a situation and it seems that she feels everything will work out despite the odds. Through all her obstacles it does seem to be paying off for her.

Tyler Perry: Love/Hate, why?

Archival rambling:
I am annoyed at seeing all of these post saying that there is a love/hate relationship with Tyler Perry. I just wanted to tell my side because it's a free country and I want to practice my right to free speech; what's left of it. Mr. Perry may not have formal training, but he has done some amazing things with that. I think that his writing has gotten better, considering that he does have help with people that actually are formally trained writers. People say that it is rushed and yes Mr. Perry has admitted that it takes him less time and less money to film a movie. I may be bias because I saw the evolution of Madea from start to present. His stage plays were like any stage play from little known to very well known. It is probably bias of you all to give respect to someone who got his start in writing stage plays. Let's be honest a stage play doesn't have to well written, but funny and entertaining. If the actor (as I so loosely call them) can belt out a soulful beautiful tune then you got a hit, but it is not in the same league as Broadway.

I just saw something different in Mr. Perry's plays and I think he has an "it" factor that caused him to get where he is now. I think he earned his place and really deserves his place. Now I have taken a break from watching reality television and watching comedies like The Office, 30 Rock, and Saturday Night Live, so I had to open my eyes and my mind a little when writing this piece. I have a strong opinion about what I feel and can sometimes be too passionate that I can't see anything else. I will say this we gotta stop our own self hatred. Let's talk about Madea and Mr. Brown for that matter. Mr. Perry incorporates several "cooning" characters in his plays and his movies. When we say Madea is a modern day mamie what do we mean by that. Is Mrs. Doubtfire mamie as well? For that matter Dame Edna (if you don't know, look her up). I really feel there is a lot of self hate going on. Yes I am trying to make you love Mr. Perry. I have tried to look at both sides of this argument and I am sticking to my initial opinion of course. It's a little difficult to get over or early entertainment endeavors in the past century, that we can't see past the shucking and jiving of the past the utter mockery of black face minstrel shows.

What if we came here on our own, no slavery, no oppression.

While I have you here.....

Archival ramblings:
So I am the Georgia Peche and I have my opinions about certain things and I haven't found my niche' market. My focus is still going green and natural things, but I like music, so I had to take time to do a little review.

Tonight I listened to Katy Perry. Love her, she is a little creative. She doesn't fit a mold and she isn't even declaring it we just know, she is very unique. I was hit today by the Fireworks song, I just love the message she is putting out and that gives her even more substance then ever. I like fun music and she makes that, but she seems very geniune in switching things up and making sure she has a message.

Paramore

Pink

Travie McCoy featuring Bruno Mars

Sarah Barielles King of anything

Michael Buble I just haven't met you yet

Daughtry September

Christina Perri Jar of Hearts

Taylor Swift Mine

Stats

I just wanted to say how the internet touches people and I wanted know how I can reach more people and what more should I say as a way to relate to people who have viewed me and may be potential followers. Anyway, I recieved an email titled twix and I thought I was going to get my first freebie, some chocolate. Actually it was a taste of good music. The artists name is actually spelled Twixx and he is from Amsterdam. Another song is Music and You, it is a pretty good song and video. It brought me back to the days when videos matched the lyrics to the song. I want to hear more and I want more people to hear good music so here you go.

If the video is not embedded go to:

http://clicks.fanbridge.com/l.php?cid=774466&sid=180828757&url=http%3A%2F%2Fsoundcloud.com%2Ftwixxmusic%2Flast-thing-they-said%2Fdownload

@Twixxmusic

Going Green

Hi Everyone:

So working two jobs has taken away from my commitment to the blog. I was thinking of also changing the name, so if there are any suggestions if I still have a following left please inbox me or leave a comment.

So I made a declaration over a week ago my main declaration to going green is planting my own garden. I am sure I am not the only one who has done this, but I was raised in a garden growing family. We would visit my grandmother sometimes and we would help her pull the vegetables and pick peas. My grandfather always brought us his watermelons that he grew once a year. I think it took this long journey of struggling to realize that I may have that in me as well. With my love of food it's just a perfect fit. I don't know if I will be a complete farmer, but I plan on having so many vegetables and fruits that I could give them away if I wanted to. I already started with my kids. They have a terrarium that I found at walmart for $5 andthey have planted tomatoes, peppers, eggplant and cucumber. The cucumber was the first thing to sprout and I think I was more excited about it then the kids. You know mothers the process of a seed being planted and watching it grow from something so small to something much bigger is just exciting. The kids did enjoy planting them. My daughter was throwing the seeds every where, but she enjoyed it. My son was bossing her around about it, but he has fun too.

So my declaration and my role in going green will be to plant vegetables. I haven't forgotten fruits. My next declaration which was previously discussed is getting rid of the creamy crack. So I had my last perm in June. I am getting it straightened sometimes and getting braids and sew ins. I want to be a positive role model for my daughter and tell her that the hair that is growing from her scalp is beautiful and she is going to have to rock it. It maybe easy for this generation because a lot of people have decided to switch over. The only thing is if you know your history we have had this resurgence before. When people were preaching black power in the 70s and men stopped processing there hair and there were role models like "Florida Evans" on GoodTimes who had the real wash and go.

So I have run out of steam for now please leave comments I would love to hear from you later alligators.

Hello there

I was looking at my stats and there seems to be some hope for my blog. I have to start back posting and entertaining you and regain my followers. Do you know you can gain followers on twitter just based off of your interest. I have been gone for a while and I am hoping to embark on a new business venture a restaurant that I hope will be pleasing to the tastebuds and unique. I have to work on the right formula for my recipes. It will be related to going green and being healthy a and getting in shape and inspirational and uplifting and..... Yes I have high hopes, but I have been asking the Lord why have I been so unsuccessful when I know that I started out with such high expectations and was on the right track.
So for enlightenment I am also going natural again , but for real this time and it seems like a big trend among us colored girls now. It is becoming highly exceptable. It is an amazing thing that is happening. When I went natural the first time it was an accident, but then I discovered all these wonderful and interesting websites, but I was not ready. YOu know going natural is an emotional journey. As silly as it seems OUR hair carrys a lot of weight. If I go natural I could be exposed to ridicule and embarrassment. If I learn to embrace it and keep my head up (no pun) I will be able to overcome the stigma. Also places like California and Florida where it is already humid, seem to have jumped on that band wagon a while, back, but it seems that if it's not curly or straightened it isn't truly being excepted. No kink here please. I live in Georgia and it seems to really be catching on here. Girls are snatching out those weaves and saying this is me this is my hair, except it. It really is sad how the slave masters have done a number on our self esteem. I have a friend that says she wouldn't look right with natural hair, and I say how can you deny what the lord has given you. I am not perfect I am still getting mine straightened and in the back of my mind I am hoping for curly hair like my daughters although i know hers came from her daddy. For now at least I know that I have dumped the creamy crack and when it gets to the desired length I will reveal my kinky crown.

So I will keep anyone who maybe reading posting, just follow the blog and when new developments arise for my business idea I will post it here and eventually.
-Later

We need more!!! (Good music)

So it is 9:54 p. m. and I just finished watching Black Girls Rock and I am asking myself the question, do I see these particular entertainers mainstream. With the exception of Fanny, I was disappointed Ms. Fantasia didn't have more to sing before she was forced to share the stage with the other girls. I have always loved Fantasia, and Jill Scott, Kelly Price and the Ambrosia gril from Floetry, for a minute the name of the group excaped my mine. I think they have real voices that just should not be ignored. Keri Hilson was there (gimmicky). I am glad to not be bombarded with Beyonce. I was happy to see the girl from Britain I believe, because her music was different. Anyhoo, in her own right Fantasia has arrived. We need more encouragement for the first four women I named because they make real music. I usually can listen to all of there songs without skipping because I can actually flow with it instead of trying figure out the dance moves to it. I feel there is a time and place for the dancing, loving Ciara definitely, but the singing has to come first. I just was enriched, and I don't know Ledisi well, but she can be put in that category eventually because when she hit that note from Nina Simone's Four Women, and told everyone her name was Peaches, with poise and confidence, I was struck. Wow. Gimme more!!! Can we be overwhelmed with more soul and less booty shaking, please. Thank you, that is all.

Georgia Peche

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://blackgirlgonegreen.blogspot.com/2010/11/we-need-more-good-music.html' title='We need more!!! I have a psychology degree, but my gpa was a little low, so I can't yet go to graduate school until I take the gre and make flawless scores and put in an application with recommendations from people that are too great to deny. I also had an epiphany a few days ago to join medical school, but now the bane or bain (never knew how to spell that) of my existence is calculus. If I apply to medical school I will have to have taken calculus, and I did in undergrad, but.....yea it was traumatic. I took it several times, failing everytime, ruining my gpa, if I had just taken the lowest highest grade the first time I failed then my gpa wouldn't have been so shattered along with the trigonometry that made my gpa even worse. so Here I am trying to make a good living from a full time job that has part time pay. I feel old and stuck and I have kids to raise, so it's not like i can concentrate on school work. It was so easy when I was finishing because my first kid was so mellow, but now he isn't and my youngest has never been mellow.

I really need a sponsor or someone that can offer someone like me a job where I can balance work and school. Maybe a little benefits package and some money to pay for my schooling. Oh wow Americorps offers some of the things that I need to survive this life I am living. I just need help career offers, something.

Does anyone else feel this way. Please leave comments, so that others can know that they are not alone. We are all struggling in this economy and we all come to a point in our life where we feel.

Sorry I have been gone so long. I've been working a lot. I haven't been on my green game for a while and I haven't anything interesting to type. I have some followers and I am grateful for everyone that has tried to support this here little 'ol blog and I hope to return back regularly.

Later

Year 2010

I have always wanted to run in some capacity. Now the opportunity has come to actually win a contest and i hope I win. I actually started running, but I brought my 4 year old with me thinking oh he's young he'll run with me, but of course he walked and then when I tried to be his super woman and carrying him on my back he didn't want me to do that, so he was holding up my progress to become a successful runner. Kids, I love them lots, but they are great fuel for a stand up act. So, I have been keeping up with blogrollers.com and I hope that I have found a support group from other women to be a runner. I have been trying to go more natural and be more healthy, and I hope this is a start. Thus if you are a true romantic please pay close attention.

Don't pick a fight, be extra sweet and be sensitive and aware of the woman's needs. We like that, we like when you aren't moody guys. If you have things that you want from us, show us that you care and that you want to actually be with us. Just starting off the week with sweetness and sensitivity is a step in the right direction.

Girls, this will also work on our end. If we want a Valentine this year,we might want to kick it up a notch. Stop being so tough let your guard down, stop having the "stank" face. Men respond to nice girls show off your goofy side, try to crack a joke, being corny is an attractive quality.

Good Luck

New Year, New you!!!! er me.

I have been looking for inspiration to start off my blog for this year. I am definitely excited about going green. It seems like a fad, but it will pay off in the end for the environment and our future-kids. If we aren't living healthy and eating healthy we will cease to exist, so that's why I am slowly taking away my support from regular grocery stores and puttig more time into places, that support selling organic hormone free foods. Aside from that I decided to really start off with giving guys tip on the best way to attract women just in time for valentines on Sunday.

Death of the celebrity

Let's see Sean Levert, Pimp C, Michael Jackson and I am forgetting some other people. Now DJ AM dead of a drug overdose. Sometimes it's the prescription drugs, and sometimes it's a mixture of substances that aren't illegal and sometimes it's just the illegal drugs. I am at the point where I don't want to hear anymore about the legalization of drugs. Some say marijuana is harmless and should be legal for medicinal purposes, does it work that great that there are no better options. What's even scarier is the fact that there are adults that don't realize that you can't mix drugs and alcohol and other substances safely. It's also scary knowing that people can get addicted to pain medication and suffer from the pain of addiction, so why add to that by bringing in illegal drugs.

We have to also stop punishing people for their addiction and try harder to help them. It's hard to convince someone to get help, but it's even harder to lose that person. I guess the main thing that we need to focus on is how to get rid of drugs once and for all. How many people do we have to lose from the illegal drugs before we stop letting it come into our neighborhoods and corrupt so many people. How many people have to hallucinate on crack and kill people for no reason because of an addiction. We are just in scary times and we have to get control before the world is completely destroyed by us.

Are you scared to date now?

Okay, so I'm a reality nut, but I am a little disturbed that there was an actual killer on a reality show, and he committed suicide as well. The fact that Ryan Jenkins chopped up the girl that he was married to made things even more disturbing. There were a lot of twist in this relationship that were shocking. I believe though that sometimes these things can be prevented.

First of all for women, we have to have more back bone when it comes to abusive relationships. It's ultimately not our fault if a woman dies by the hand of their lover, but sometimes we shouldn't allow men to control the situation that day. Women the first time a man hits you that's the end of the relationship. Maybe we should raise our daughters to not need a man so badly that we lose our self esteem. No man should be able to tell a woman that she is nothing without him. Somewhere the cycle has to end with men as well. I don't know how to prevent men from beating there wives and girlfriends, that's something that maybe a parent may have to intervene on. We have to start speaking up when we see the signs that is another way to help. Also, we have to stop being so trusting of men. It seems people are getting crazier and crazier, sometimes if you feel that maybe the man is a little shady, check the internet to see if he is on the police crime website. Sometimes having a violent criminal past can be linked to abuse in a relationship especially when the man has been abusive in previous relationships. Most importantly just be careful and don't ignore your instincts. Not every relationship is going to work, and some people are just toxic for each other. If you are a woman that likes drama be mindful of when you are the one provoking anger in a man. No man has a right to hit a woman, but you shouldn't insult a man either and make him feel robbed of his manhood.

I just worry about the state of the world there have been so many shocking events, I feel a call to action to prevent some of this craziness.

Are you wasteful?

I just want to say that we need to be more aware of the energy we are wasting. I have been at home for a while and I realize now, how wasteful I am sometimes. I had been a little annoyed with my hubby because he made a big deal about warming up two fish sticks. I think that's a little over the top. There is no other way to get my son's snacks warmed up. They weren't microwaveable, so what is a mother to do.

Somethings you kind of can't help, but on my time off from work I now realize that I at least need to turn to television off when I'm not watching it. I fell asleep today and awoke to a television that I should have put out of it's misery before I dozed off. That is one important way to save energy, just turn the t. v. off when I'm not watching. I know there are more ways, but that one really stuck out in my mind because it is the least important energy burner.

I just wanted to say that because it was an epiphany for me.

I'm still here!!!

I have not gone into labor, and I am overdue as of this past Monday. I am tired and I just wanted to address the woes of being pregnant. First isn't funny that you feel like a celebrity. People just walk up to you and assume you are having a boy and you are due this day. I am overdue now and a whole week has gone by I'm done making nice with people, I am in full fledge grumpy mode. It's hard to be gracious when every minute someone is walking up to you and I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings, so now I'm in store ignoring people (sorry folks). If I'm in the store and a stranger walks up to me and I haven't made eye contact I I pretend not to hear them when they say things. One guy (sorry sir) said something to me eye continued my shopping and he continued walking. Hey it was just an annoying comment and I'm overdue, it's hot outside and people are giving me remedies to get this baby out, but they will come when they come and the doctors don't let it go to far because it is not healthy, so everyone just relax the baby is coming and we will see her soon enough.

Love you and forgive my meanness I'm not even blaming it on hormones, I guess it's been a long 10 months:

Georgia Peche

Organic store

Well I am in full mommy mode waiting on my young one to arrive in a couple of weeks, so I didn't feel like doing anything with the blog. I have also been accepted to a green blog site and am trying to brainstorm as to how I want it formatted. While looking for bedding that is unique and isn't babies r us or baby depot, and fit for a princess, I found an important website, since I would like to be more and green and I would like to put others on to a green life style. There is an organic baby store for green mommies. There are also organic tips and other organic items to buy. enjoy

kushtush.com

I need gardening advice.......

Okay, so I didn't take the horticultural class in highschool I took the food service class, and I guess that's what helped me be a pretty good housewife/chef. I have an obsession , though with planting vegetables and and fruits and just flowers. I was watching this lady on Oprah a few years back and she had beautiful flowers galore. I actually was inspired by a trip to walmart where I was looking at some seeds and on the back listed a lot of medicinal uses and even lavendar can make a fragrant tea. I don't know if I would dare drink it though.

a

So my dream is to plant some stuff in my tiny back yard, but right now no vegetables although I have the bag of seeds because I don't have a bag of snake murderer or rabbit runner off-er. See what had happened was, my mother had a planted a wonderful garden with tomatoes and well some snakes got into the yard. The dog killed one, but the other got a lot closer to the house and that's where the tomatoes were, so what I'm hoping is that my flowers are the safest and most beautiful bet for now. I fear what the lavendar may attract though, but they have to come up first.

Also, I need some help from any gardeners or horticulturalist to help me with my problem. When I first planted my impatiens They came up and I took proud pictures of them and I planted them again next year because I wasn't sure about what plants come back every year. So I planted some more and they came up really nicely again. Since I don't know the difference between annuals and semi annuals there were some other flowers that I planted and they never came up. What I am hoping is that someone can identify the pictures above and let me know if these are flowers or weeds because I haven't planted anything just yet and these things just started sprouting up and they looked kind of familiar, but I didn't think impatiens come back.

I got a little advice this year so I have some plants that will definitely come back next year, so I want have to keep planting something blindly hoping for it's return, but I need to know what these plants/ weeds are that are growing now, so I will know to pull them up or keep them. I can't wait for the flowers to bloom if they are coming, so I hope someone can help me soon because spring has sprung and I am ready to plant. Later

She is so different.

Dear Chrisette:

I apologize for ignoring you and you talent. I apologized and a little inspired I almost want to get over my shyness and create music and try not to get sucked into the same ole commercial crap that's out there (sorry Keri). I mean I love Ciara i think she is in her own category, but it is hard for these girls out here to stay relevant with Beyonce hogging all the good air. I feel Ms. Michelle that you deserve a little bit more than ms. Benown-say. She is not as original and different as she thinks she is. I feel music is an expression of your voice and all the performing in the world can't make you the greatest. I mean her voice is okay, it's a bit average compared to your soulful smokie, old school throw back voice. Of course we have to look back at the pioneers of before our time, who could truly sang and were truly talented and maybe even wrote our own songs, but right now you are my idol. Next to Fantasia of course. I think maybe both of you are younger then my 29 years, well I know fanny is (she's still got some growing to do), but you Ms. Chrisette Michelle seem to be really comfortable in your skin and you know what you want out of life at least musically and from your music relationship-ly (I know not the a real word). I am following what you were saying in your songs on soul story and now I gotta go back to your first album and reintroduce myself to how you got your start because I think you have been ignored, but I don't listen to all this gimmicky stuff it hurts my ears and I am mad that some how I let your music slip by and then you are already on your sophomore album (congrats).

Sincerely:
A new fan

So all my 3 followers, please tell your friends and there friends to give Chrisette Michelle another try because she is making real music and she can really sing without any synthesizer-vocoder thingys. I have heard it before, but I just saw it online, that little ms. Dora is about to become a tween. She will be wearing heels and shopping or something like that. I'm not sure if the it will be the show, but I know that they are supposed to be creating a doll for it. She will have longer hair that can be styled and clothing and heels and blah blah blah.

Anyway, when I heard it on the radio there were parents outraged and ranting about how bad an idea it is and Dora is a role model. The guy on the radio was saying that Dora has been on television for a couple of years, so she should be about 12 something, so yeah people are used to cartoons not aging, but it would be accurate if she grew with the children that started watching her.

In my opinion.... oh yeah apparently there is a petition going around the toy company and Nick, not to do it. I mean get real. There are more important things to worry about like not wasting my blog on this issue because I have more important post to well, you know post. At the same time this isn't the news this is my blog.

My argument is that for parents with the argument that she is a role model I disagree. It is the parent's responsibility to raise there kids. Sometimes we just need to turn the television off and spend time with these babies and have real conversations, get to know your kids. Take them outside and let them do actual exploring instead of letting some big eyed girl speak spanish to your kids while running around with a monkey and a talking back pack. If you think about it that's not even reality, the cartoon could have your kids with an overactive imagination thinking there back packs can talk to them. Also, I want my son to learn spanish, but I need to know what he is learning also. Dora just randomly teaches a Spanish word with each episode, but if I'm not paying attention because I'm cooking or cleaning while he's watching, I won't know if he is actually saying something in Spanish because he is still developing his language.

Please don't get me wrong I think the show is useful, but a petition, oh please. Parents raise your kids, and stop letting the television do it for you. Science has argued that children shouldn't watch too many hours because it will have negative affects on there young brains.

Hello new friend

I am giving a shout out to Ms. Mocha a new follower of my blog. I joke, but I only have two visible people that I know for sure read my blog. I fear that it was an accident that you signed up,lol. Now if any of you want to back out I'm fine with that, and I know I have been slacking with my thoughts, I actually have a good one coming soon, the subject, should Dora the explorer be aged to a tween which is the age between young kid and a teenager, it's in my mind and I have an argument for it, but I haven't had time to put my thoughts down. To the few that are reading my blog please feel free to post your opinions on this subject matter. Me and my baby still in my stomach are going to bed now, but I just wanted to thank anyone who reads my blog and enjoys it, and I want to let you know I'm still here and I'll be typing soon, later.

Hey ya'll

I want to say hello to some more people who stopped by. So Michael Moore is probably very hated by Patriotic people whom of which think that the war on Iraq was the greatest idea (the verdict is still out for me). Anyhoo, that's another of his documentaries maybe to discuss another time. I meant to type up one that I saw on HBO about AIDS, but I didn't take notes and I forgot the name of it and the name of the doctor, so that's for another time as well. So here goes.

Michael Moores doc' "Sicko"on the United States healthcare was not the shocking part, but the fact (and I haven't done the research yet) that people in England and France pay nothing for healthcare and there medicine no matter how many pills is affordable.

I wanted to scream and cry and pull my hair out because here I am with a bill that is now in collections (my fault because I couldn't afford the payments) This is like maybe my fifth bill, only my third hospital bill that has gone to the great collections box in the sky. I will eventually be getting calls from my friend good Ole' Bill Collector, I can't wait, it's so exciting. So what is the genius idea that the British have? Well their taxes cover it in what is called the National Health plan. The idea that the well off takes care of those lesser off is great to me. I feel that even when you are poor you shouldn't be denied health care. If you don't have insurance you should still be able to see a doctor. So I go to the doctor with no insurance and dread the day the bill comes. Why did I go to St. Thomas (U. S. territory) and get a $351 bill for a tetanus shot. Why when I cut my finger and got two stitches, did they send me and emergency room bill for $200 (not too high), but then another for my medical services of $535, and that's the one in collections. Aside from that I already have credit debt and being sick should not be another burden. I am planning on posting a pay pal account on here I'm so desperate, but according to the news we are all in same boat because of the "recession". So now here I am pregnant and luckily I qualified for medicaid, so I shouldn't be stressed right now because everything is taking care of, but.............. They made me choose a plan instead of just regular medicaid and then it was confusing because the doctor's office that I went to before refused to accept my insurance, so they referred me to the prenatal clinic, but it's not bad I actually like it better and they actually still deal with the same doctors which I'm actually not excited about because they didn't seem to care as much as the midwife I have now.

I also know that once the baby is born I may be able to get insurance for him/her, but mine will stop and I will have to be going into collections if I get sick again. I'm glad that they at least take a little consideration that babies are innocent and need to be taken care of. I just like the idea of a health system where you aren't swamped with bills because no one ask to be sick or injured, but then you have to spend your life earnings to get well and yeah, you can go ahead and go to the doctor and they smile at you and seem concerned, but when the bill comes oh well you better pay unless you want to deal with Bill and his harrassment ("when can you pay?", " you really don't have a choice").

The doc' even talked about people under Kaiser (again no research yet) who were taken in a taxi away from the hospital and dropped at Skidrow which I think was a community medical care place, maybe outreach of some sort. People still in there gowns with there hospital bands still on there arms.

And speaking of freedom of speech which means if any one has a problem with what I'm typing I am simply exercising my right to free speech. So one guy who was practicing, has a website and he actually hated Michael Moore and devoted his sight to it. He ended up almost cancelling his site because his wife was so and he would have to take care of her. Michael Moore said that he sent they guy $12,000 so he can take care of his wife and keep using his right to hate Mr. Moore.

I just hope that Obama can come up with a health plan just as good. Also, to make his point Moore went to see how a family lives, he said they are probably buried in taxes, but the families were living nice. Nice how, nice furniture, cars, there biggest expenses were food, and vacations. Of course when they go on vacation there jobs give them a minimum of 5 weeks off. Even if you are part time you get sick time and vacation time, and your sick time is unlimited I mean really, why should you get fired because you have been out with cancer for a long time, it's not a persons fault that they got cancer, who ask for cancer? There was one guy who got better from his cancer treatment and he left the U. S. and moved back to France where he actually was from, so that he can be taken care of. Then when he got better he told the doctor he didn't feel like going back, and the doctor asked him how long did he want to stay away. The doctor wrote him a note for 3 month's leave and he went to the South of France and his job still paid his leave.

It was funny because Moore would ask the people in England or France how much did you pay for your bill. There faces were priceless, and they would say nothing. He walked all over a British hospital and when he found a place that said cashier, but it was actually a little man there who paid people for there travel expenses to the hospital.

I don't want to seem naive', but couldn't this work here? I may have to move to france because it's not to good to be true in my opinion.

I want to write a letter to congress, the President any body, but at the same time it is the government that keeps us from asking for these things, we really need to get together on this and find a solution. I regret not paying attention before to what Obama has planned for our health care, I"m going to check on that right now, and so should you my one and two readers. Maybe we can make change in the health system because right now it's ridiculous............and before I go, don't worry that the doctors didn't get paid for there services. They are paid by the government and one doctor in particular get's paid $200,000 a year, so I think this is like a genius plan, don't you?

The doctor is still in

Thanks to all for my positive comments. I guess this blog has kind of been my therapy and I crave encouragement. I hope to bring more informative things and less venting, but sometimes I have to put it out there because I know I am not the only one and I am learning to try to stop making everything so big because I'm just one person and my problems are small in comparison to other peoples problems especially when you think about the fact that there are millions, billions and ka-trillions (hey I hate math) of people on this earth and we just got our new black prez ya'll!!!!

I think I forgot to blog on the prez. I just pray that he lasts the next 8 years, yes I said 8. People would be dumb not to vote for him a second time. Well I have more important things to blog, but that's all for now, I got a resume to work on and I need to start my children's book I just can't keep focused on it, but I have so many stories in my mind I am soooo excited. I kept saying I was gonna vote early, but I kept putting it off and having missed opportunities and fearing the long lines, but it is done. You still have a chance to vote up until tonight. So It was as easy as the first time in my district. The line went around the building, but it moved fast and it took me about 45 minutes. Now I have to check and make sure that my vote counted on the secretary of state office online because there have been rumors that peoples vote haven't been counted and make sure it picks who you voted for there were rumors that people vote for one candidate and another one pops up. I haven't voted in like 4 years and I did absentee last time and the time before that I used the paper, so the ballot is on touch screen now, so it's even faster then before, so go vote.

I was a little ashamed, though because I knew the presidential candidates, but I didn't know the other people, unless they made a commercial, so I'm a little embarrassed to have told all my people when and where to vote and how to vote, but didn't tell them or prepare myself to make sure they knew the candidates for senator, and supreme court. Next time that will be my mission, to get people to vote and too know more about the other candidates because there are other important offices other the the president, so if you haven't voted try to do some research on the other candidates, so you won't be too lost when voting for the other people. That is all.

The doctor is real in.

Do you ever feel like nothing in your life is going right; like there can't be a good thing happening without something bad immediately following. Well that's how my whole life seems to be going.

I really got the Charlie Brown complex going on. I mean I went through school and was really smart. I graduated highschool with no problem. I even got an Associates degree from a school that everyone said was just too hard and to that I would say no it's not. Everything came easy for me when I was at home. I was a perfectionist and pretty much did well in school, but when I moved away from home to go back to school and get my Bachelor's degree, please tell me why my own roommates would treat me like I was special ed. Also, for some reason I didn't seem to catch on to somethings and would be beating myself up about it later because I know I'm smart, but I'm not all that street smart, I keep to myself, though and hopefully if I was in a situation where I would fight for my life I could defend myself without shaking uncontrollably and a panicking.

It has only been since I have been in Atlanta that I have encountered this though. I had to deal with it with my roommates at a school and my coworkers at work, all people that claim to love me like family. I have since resolved all deep seeded resentment that I have had for my roommates and we are good friends, I don't go there houses as much, but it's a defense mechanism in a way to keep from getting hurt because I am tired of people treating me this way. I must reinterate I am not slow, and it is frustrating they way I have been treated. I don't know if it's because I usually have other things on my mind, but sometimes somebody might use inuendo or make a sarcastic comment and it goes over my head, but I guess I just don't click with people like that. I haven't had the best luck with having best friends, only with my brother can I can "get the joke", but hey we grew up together it wouldn't make since if we didn't understand each others ridiculous attempts at being comedians.

Anyway, I'm frustrated because I have a manager and he's new and I am a little uncomfortable with joking with him. I may laugh a lot, but that's my personality, but I found that I can't joke with people that I don't know. I have to stay serious because it seems that no matter how I respond I always come out looking dumb, Oh she's slow, that went over her head, and to that I say, I just feel like maybe i'm not into other people's jokes like that. The same way I don't joke with strangers with sarcasm, I don't expect someone that I don't know to be making wise cracks with me because if I don't know there sense of humor I may get offended and take it the wrong way and vice versa for them.

I just wonder if I am the only one who has this issue. I am in my right mind, I'm not old enough to have the early onset of alzheimer's I mean I come one people regardless of the misspelling in this post, this is the creative and articulate ramblings of an intelligent young woman right?

Okay, I feel a little better getting this off my chest, I just don't know why I am the target, why don't people take me serious. I like to laugh a lot, and I'm not the only person I mean most of my friends like a good laugh. Also, at work I'm not the only one who makes mistakes, but yet everyone makes so much noise when I do and when someone else messes up it barely get spoken about, what is the deal.

Now I'm a religious person, and I want to do right by God and I know Jesus was misunderstood, but I am not the son of God I'm just a young woman trying to live right and enjoy life. What's the deal.

Georgia Peche

Oh there's some real music.

Okay, so I don't have any backstage access to any BET awards types thingys. I did watch the Hip Hop Awards last not and it really shows how things have changed. Most music awards shows have gotten boring and you wait and look to see that moment of the show that's gonna excite you. Yea Rihanna has done well and Be-nonce Be-nonce has been a little creative and then on the white ones Britney wasn't talented, but she did have the shock value thing going for her.

In my opinion the rap has gotten worse. So to watch a hip hop awards show it's like something is lacking, it's hard to pay attention. So when the ladies of rap Mc Lyte, Yo-Yo, and Salt 'n Pepa came out I woke up, it was soooo refreshing. I wonder what happened to the female rappers though. It was like over kill of the sexuality the past few years, but when the veterans came out tonight they showed that you can be a lady and even express a little sexuality without being graphic. I just don't listen to rap like I used to because it's just not the same.

I miss the old days ya'll. There are some people that are holding things down and ain't always talking 'bout the same ole "i got money and my hood". Just 'cause you from the hood don't mean that's all you have to offer to rap. I mean I like Jeezy, T. I. but I also like, Kanye (really love his individuality), umm, I'm drawing a blank that's about it. Oh yeah they are a little in the old days category, but I still love my Nas and Jay Z. other then that we can do without a lot of them, even lil Wayne (yes I'm hating). I am from the south and I'm proud of how far we've come, but I kinda wish some more New York hip hop would come back. I wish people like Talib Kweli could get more attention when his album comes out because when I heard some of his music I wondered what happened why is this not being blasted everywhere? Oh yeah I forgot Common. Oh I forgot where are the females that's what I was talkin' bout mainly when will they make a comeback. I feel the only one holding the female rap game up is Lil Mama and I like what she's doing, but it's just her and I don't even wanna see lil kim anymore. I like her last effort, but when she comes back I may confuse her with Latoya Jackson. She doesn't even love herself enough to look like herself anymore.

What is we gonna do.

What's up!!!

Shout out to digs daily one of my 2 fans, lol. Most importantly you can't make everything into compost so everything that you can recycle please find a place in your area that picks up, they should supply you with a blue recycling bin and someone should pick it up regularly. I believe there may be a fee, but it is worth it if it can help in reversing this global warming issue.

The website that I found was for Georgia, but it should apply no matter where you live. You can make compost with grass clippings, leaves, shrub prunings, *fruit and vegetable, *hair, *coffee grounds/ tea bags, *small amounts of uncoated paper. I put a star by things that might interest people to compost.

It states that it is a way to turn your garbage into gold. The different uses of compost is mainly to help the soil especially when you are trying to grow health plants. The website shows different ways to create compost so, happy gardening to everyone!!!

Healthcare

People may think I'm crazy, but I have to send a shout out to the take care clinic over at Walgreen's. I saw the commercial and they were supposed to be on some tour bus providing health care to people and I thought that's kind of inconvenient because while they are bringing the service to you it doesn't help you if they are across the country when you need some medical assistant.

I had to use the service this weekend and while I was randomly searching for an alternative to the emergency room and it's ridiculous bill, I stumbled upon it. Walgreen's has the clinic at select locations of course, but luckily there was one close by. I wish that it was right down the street like the rite aid. I hope that more places take up this type of health care because While we don't have health insurance right now, it just comes in handy. There was a set and pretty low fee for there service and nothing else. We didn't have to wait a long long ER time, it was pretty much in and out and while I am poor I thank God for my Hubby because he paid for the visit. So unless they end up billing us later a doctor's fee I want to say thank you Take Care Clinic I don't know how you can afford to charge only a $59 flat rate, but I thank you and say you are a blessing. It may be even cheaper then getting health insurance because you may only get sick one time in your life and think of how much money you would save by only paying $60 one time instead of $150 a month for 18 years and then a $30-$200 copay when you are already paying them insurance (so why I gotta coPay????)

So I hope this is the healthcare of the future. Are you reading this Obama and you too McPain sorry McCain. Thanks to the Frank and Wanda show because that is weird I heard the sound bytes from a Sarah Palin rally (say that 3 times fast). The interviewer asked the people when did they hear about Obama and when did they hear about Palin. Most would say they only heard of Palin within the recent year and Obama a few years ago, but it's funny a lot of the women interviewed sounded just like Sarah. They did not argue their points well, but you wouldn't be able to win a debate against them if you were trying to defend Obama because no matter what the result was they would still swear that Obama is bad for this country. One woman or man (hey it was yesterday morning, I don't recall some details) said that Obama has terrorist bloodline because of his middle name and he was raised by Muslims.

(White) people are so brainwashed with racism that they now have a screwed up view of the truth. At first they were coming around after 9-11 and they begin focusing on Muslims as a threat and for once "we" were no longer the most hated race, but since Obama has been running things have gotten even worse, now they have found away to include us in being "niggers" and terrorist. I can't say it is all due to McCain and Palin, it's just ignorant way of those people. Maybe it was all that inbreeding, marrying in the family before they even brought there ships out to get the first slave. I mean how can you continue to pass on unjustified hate with no actual facts to back it up.

Muslim doesn't automatically equal terrorist, and especially a black man who's ethnicity is not even the same as a Middle Eastern man. Obama has the same blood in his veins as the people who ignorantly "just can't decide to vote for him". Like David Alan Grier ( may have to be called Dag in anymore post) said on Chocolate news, "At least vote for the black half".

Where does this fear come from? One person said they are scared what will happen if Obama becomes president. I guess she thinks that he will press the red button and the entire U. S. is going to be gone. Obama was raised by his mother, who is Caucasian, in Hawaii of all places, the friendliest place on earth. He probably only saw his father a couple of times. He is not perfect he is still a part of elite, but I think his mother raised him to be down to earth and he will probably be able to relate to people because if you ever paid any attention to an actual Muslim they usually (and stereotypically) don't show much emotion or personality and Obama has none of that he is more uptight, like when he was on the Ellen show trying to dance but that is because he has moved up to a status wear the people are uppity and may have forgot to have fun.

I don't see a threat in Obama and I also don't see inexperience especially when you consider who we have been dealing with for 8 years. Can you believe we actually let an 8 year old be our president. He only likes to blow up things and still has not developed a full vocabulary, how did he fool ya'll (who voted for him) twice.

It is time to wake up people because if you vote for McCain you are gonna have Bush's policies and if he croaks we will have another prez Bush in female form. Did you see her on Saturday night, so lame. This is not just a black and white issue. I know a lot of women feel that since they didn't get Hillary then they will support McCain because he has Palin, but gosh darnit, she don't know nothin' bout nothin'. Still there are woman that are so blinded because they want there first woman prez that they have created this fear of the big black man. The mind can be a powerful thing when left to it's own devices. I'll admit we are all racist, no one is immune, and us colored folks are a littled biased cause we want a new Massa, that looks like us'in.

So when you go to the polls stop sweating colors, put that "some of my friends are Black/white" phrase that you have been using to good use. Don't consider color when voting consider who bad the last eight years have been because McCain is out of touch he needs some rest and all the stress might affect him and then we will be stuck with the Bush female counterpart instead of someone who is different and is about change.

Okay that's enough of my rambling, go vote, try to vote early, and get it over with all ready.

This one, that one.

I got these web sites courtesy of Afrobella.com, please click on the links if you need Barack NOdrama shirts. I don't know what Mccain stands for or Obama. I just know everyone is throwing around the change phrase because it gets peoples attention. I watched last weeks debate and I don't remember how it ended because to me it was a bunch of mambo jambo. Obama dissappointed me because he could give a straight answer and neither could MCcain always crying out check your facts. If you are gonna debate have your facts there it will be more convincing mister. Anyhoo, this week I was hoping for a little comedy and I was taken aback. Ole Palin can make complete sentences. Okay truthfully, she is just mirroring everything that McCain said in his debate and although I didn't see a microphone in her ear, most of her words were probably scripted and rehearsed, until she sounded like she knew what she was talking about. She hardly stumbled upon the words that she was reading, but I felt if she didn't stop smile-talking I was going to scream. It was passed his bed time anyway, but even my son was begging to go to bed, so he wouldn't be punished anymore.

I did learn that I know why Senator Obama picked Biden. I was expecting someone young and maybe a little hip, or just different in someway, but instead he looks like a regular old white guy politician, but he is a great debater. I don't take no mess. He didn't take us around in circles and he answered the question directly no double talking and blah blah blahing his way out of the topic. He was great, while I was a little dissappointed by Obama's performance last week I believe he was couldn't answer the questions the way they wanted him to because it can't be an "either/or" option when it comes to politics. Especially in figuring out the economy, I mean how would you cut spending, how would you get this economy back afloat, I mean are you out of debt, do you even know how you are gonna get out of debt? I don't, so imagine owing billions of dollars, that are probably going to go into the trillions pretty soon, but you still need to spend on certain things. I feel though that Obama is really going to need Biden to help keep him steady when he is trying to figure out a solution to U. S. problems.

So what did you think of last nights debate? Weren't you expecting Palin to ramble on about seeing Russia right across the street? Didn't you get tired of her mention soccer mom this, soccer mom that?

A sign of the times, anti-....

Vote. I am the anti-voter. I would like to go around the world campaigning about not voting and how stupid it is to vote, but then The government might find some conspiracy to arrest me. I was just reading Tyler Perry's thing and he always has a positive message that usually makes since, but he put it out there that he is voting for Obama and that's all good and stuff, but I just feel like who cares who we vote for. We put so much in the governments hands and now we want a head nigg@ in charge. I was all hyped to vote for a candidate with a positive message, that has brushed off the haters and tried to be positive and has not put out too much dirty politics when the oponent repub. has been fighting dirty and picking some woman who definitely has no experience. Then my hubby keeps saying he is going to leave the country if McCain gets in, but who's to say that Black-Bama is gonna do any better.

Believe me this peche is voting for the mighty O, (hopefully before November), but we have to start taking a stand, the government can't have that much control over what goes on. Dr. King was not president and neither were other civil rights leaders, but they took a stand and went against white man and his "supremacy" and it took a while, but they got us more freedom, then we can even appreciate. So I can't say don't vote, but I can say that we gotta make our own change because we think we vote and then we sit back and let the commando in chief do the rest, but that never works, do you know that from Reagan to the present, our presidents have used the now defunct social security to pay what is only the minimum of the national debt. Even our "happy times" Clinton borrowed a little, and now our grannys and pops, don't have a pot or window for retirement. They gotta get out there and work and maybe never retire. We have to do more recycling, and focusing on complaining to our local congressmen when we feel something isn't right, we gotta do better all people. We are wasteful and uneducated about the facts, We are the ones helping run this country into the ground and no president is powerful enough to ever turn this country around it is the peoples vote, but mainly it is up to the people to get this country back on track, and get it to where it used to be.

Get it together people.

They got that vibe.

So in my mind, the world hears my thoughts and beliefs and agrees with me. I was reading a Vibe article (which has been having some issues being racist by not putting Robin Thicke on the cover cause he's white-allegedly, and airbrushing off Ciara's clothes-allegedly). It's the most recent issue October 2008 and the argument under "The Big Idea", is that R&B music is getting too polite. Ne-yo started it with the year of the gentlemen, then you got Lloyd being a nice guy and even Usher is too tame on his new album.

To this I say, So F$%^ what. Okay, yea I'm tame I don't even curse when it comes out my mouth, or in writing. I don't care though because a lot of people have been coming out with manufactured, crappy "sex sells" music. There couldn't be video without a lot of booty shaking, I mean it's freakin' ridiculous. The author picks on Leona Lewis, Alicia Keys, Estelle and John Legend, and Musiq. Sean Fennessey complains that While Terrence Howard is known for being a little gritty, he premiered some "cry-fest" music accompanied with an acoustic guitar. Why the negative tone. Yes soft is now selling, but that is a good thing. I think R. Kelly's image was all genius for a time, but it birthed the non talents of Pretty Ricky, and now they are trying to be creative with this eighties baby mess, get out of here. Now not to insult the hard work that these boys probably endured, but I am sick of this violation of a woman's and innocense and the desensitization that young men endure to grow up only focusing on sex, sex, sex.

Get it together people. I think what Usher did in the past with the shirt ripping off thingy was a good idea, but the brother is married with a baby and it's time for him to be a man, he is pushing 30 for goodness sake. To make matters worse Fennessey argues that Usher's song "This ain't sex" is soft because the line in the song says that lovemaking is this outlasting movement, "an not, um sex. I mean cut the sarcasm buddy. When is it okay to not be so oversexed. I know marriage is not for everyone, but when can we turn on the computer and not have to worry about Supe-um I mean the nice young lady Karrine Steffans discussing all her dirty-nobody asked- secrets. I mean stop telling everybody how you slept with this rapper and somebodies husband because it take two to tango and you just need to tango go somewhere. I mean the acronym TMI may have been overused, but really singers and rappers TMI. I don't really want to hear how Usher treats Shimek- Tamika, what's her name. I'm glad his music is vague and not specific right now.

I am concerned that with his momma back on the team that he will probably go back to his original ways, and that's okay, but at the same time I could really appreciate his more mature music. Yes it's tame and sometimes corny, but we have made attitude the new art form and it's not working, I mean we got road rage, and aids and just too much mess and for those believers of Revelations, it seems like the end is imminent. Now it may get pushed back if people keep pumping out some real music. There was a time when parents and children could listen to music together, but now our parents don't respect the music we listen to I think after R. Kelly's first album parents started telling there kids to turn that mess down. To that I say thank you John Legend for your corny a$% music I mean it is beautiful and brings out a lot of emotions. Sometimes all you need is a love ballad to feel better, or just to cry over 'cause a relationship isn't working. Thank you Ne-yo for being a gentlemen on top of a good beat. So I was reading in Ebony magazine about New Yorks first black governor David A. Paterson, and it's amazing that he has accomplished so much being legally blind. While I'm sitting here unable to move forward, and trying to figure out how I'm going to become successful with two degrees and nothing to show for it. Anyway, I didn't know he was black when I first saw him (i'm noticing the nappies on the sides) , but it seems to be blasted everytime that I see him or read about him that he is African American. So he has accomplished the most amazing feat of all being successful while black. Gone are the days of passing as a caucasion to get to the top, but deep in my sick and twisted mind what if the opposite of what happened to Clayton Bigsby, happened to the first black governor of New York, hmm.......
he is one of the good ones we can't lose him people, I mean he even told the truth about his infidelities, come on people he's honest. We weren't even asking his business. I doubt he is white though I just have a sick mind, but I'm seeking help.......( evil laugh in the background as this post fades to black)

Get Dave Chappelle KKK Clip and more video codes at VideoJunkyard.com

Modern Art

Francis Picabia. I was wishing that I had watched it last night after seeing everyone. In my mind I wanted to reach out to Rihanna and tell her thank you for being so different it is working for her. She reminds me of my friend Caribbean friend because I'm sure Rihanna probably loves her some soca or reggae , but she is also alternative. It is funny because my friend listened to rap and R&B and her dancehall and reggae and would blast them on her stereo, and she had no shame doing the same for a rock song or a silly pop song, that no thug would beat in there car. She is coming from a place where the majority is black people. So here I am growing up in a place where the white use to be the majority, but our people were not too open about listening to any other music, but rap and r&B.

Also growing up I would not listen to any rock and roll and alternative music too loud, or even mention it to my friends, it was my own thing because I didn't think they would relate, but luckily at least my parents raised us to be open minded about massa's decendents; mainly there music, and don't call them names. Just like they say, some of my closes friends are caucasian, my best friend that past away years ago, was like a sister to me. I did have a bad experience with my own people though because there was section in McCall magazine that was basically for any mother, so my moms read it and the section was for young girls about a girl named Betsy McCall, and I loved to read it every month, so i got a B Mc t-shirt in the mail and I wore it to school and those youngsters treated me like something was wrong with wearing a white girl on your shirt, "Who is she", "Why". I have always been an advocate for my own race, but even with all that has been done to my people I also know that some of massas blood runs through my vein as well so I will always have a small fascination with the music at least. Anyhoo, miss Ri put on a performance of vogue that was fierce and creative and I think she did a great job, she is really coming out from her earlier days and I love it.

In other news courtesy of msn. Naomi Campbell had surgery to correct her infertility and I was wondering now, if that is why she had a bad attitude all these years. She is a fierce model and I think the fire she has helps her to work it on the runway, but after the surgery is her hormones going to adjust to where she is no longer pms'ing on people with her phone? Wow I wonder.......

Why would you want to be a "do boy"?

Okay, I was reading Black Enterprise, hoping to find out how people become successful because this peche is sucking at it, I graduated over a year ago and......... that's another story, so anyway......the article was called "Where Have All the Black Caddies Gone?" I mean that sounds like an "Uncle Ruckus", "Uncle Tom" question if you ask me. Why would we want to be the fetch it boy, we can be Tiger Woods.

I was trying to understand the argument, but the article argued that caddies earned a lot of money from the game and now independent caddies are be excluded from going to country clubs and golfing event's due to experienced caddy services taking over. Also, uncle tom went on to say we have not been grooming our young one's to take an interest in the game. Now this is the only time I will defend the mainstream careers of our young men. Why wouldn't we want to be Dewayne Wade or any athelete that is in the forefront. I respect golf, but it is a hard game for such lively people to get into. African Americans, kind of have a short attention span and we need to see movement, just kidding.

What I am really saying is we need to make better arguments like will we ever overcome testing bias in the SAT or something like that. The only thing that would be good about caddying is the networking. You can groom your son or even daughter, for that matter, to caddy and then when they go off to college, they can use there experience to network for a good job if they communicated with the "affluents" of the country club, or they themselves could become a professional golfer.

This article just annoyed me a little because while we were the majority of the caddies back in the day, that is a job that is a little too similar to our previous occupations as slaves, and house maids. Caddying is too much of a sidekick gig, and I would have rather written an article about how far we have come from being in the background making this country run, to running our own business and being CEO's, I mean, but maybe I'm too ignorant to see the point of the article, maybe I'm being too critical.

Over and out.

Electronic Village: Introduce Yourself

Electronic Village: Introduce Yourself

Hillary, Hillary, Hillary....

It actually takes big cohoonies... cohonas... big balls, in a good way to suck up your pride, and get rid of your suspended campaign, to stand up and say that you except and that Barack beat you for the Democratic nomination. I liked her better when she was a strong woman who supported her husband even when that devil cheated on her. I didn't like her when she was running for prez, and I'm having trouble coming around, but I do have to say that it is with great sportsmenship, that she gave her delegates, and told them to throw in their support for Obama and to also call for unity among the party. I mean she didn't have much choice, but the way that she has presented herself has put her in a better light, and she may have a chance next time around because that's probably why she is acting like that. I feel at least that she and Bill raised Chelsea right and at least she will be likeable if she ran for president down the line. Well how ever long it has been, this peche has been planning my wedding and I just got married a few weeks ago. So I have been on my honeymoon and it was wonderful. I still haven't had time to learn how to post videos and I'm still learning my rights for posting pictures, but I just wanted to let anyone know where I have been. Everything turned out wonderful and I had a great time. I am still getting used to saying "my husband" because I still feel like a 12 year old girl sometimes, but I have a child, so hopefully that feeling will go away. Does anyone else ever feel like that even if they are almost pushing 30. I have a college degree and everything, but I still feel goofy. I'm not insecure, but I don't know, can't explain it.

I will be posting soon because I always have an opinion about something, so when I come back to reality you will also be taken back to reality, lata alligata!

Random

First off let me say that my heart and my prayers go out to Bernie Mac's and Isaac Hayes families, both have impacted the entertainment world in their own unique way, and I am shocked right now, and lost for words.

Now this peche has been planning her wedding, but I have been trying to steal ideas from Melinda Williams (Soul Food), but she is trying to keep certain details a secret, which is something I wish. My main issue is the fact that I have short Rihanna-esque hair that I hoped, would miraculously grow out into a nice bob in time for the wedding this coming Sunday, but not it is in the awkward stage and everyone gives there 2 cents. Telling me I should just wear it short, but in my opinion I wanted an updo. I think it will match really well with the style of my dress and the short do will clash because my hair is cut in a way that upstages a jazzy outfit, so it speaks for itself, and with my dress it just doesn't work. I need a different style to go with it that will also match with an evening look, and nobody wants me to get a weave, but I do no this is a one time thing and if I'm not happy with my final style choice I will be stuck with that picture for the rest of my marriage, so I am hoping Melinda will kind of give away what style she is a planning on having because she was growing hers out as well.

Enough of that froo-froo stuff, there is always more serious things to discuss.............

Et tu Brute'............

So I was reading this yahoo article a few weeks ago about the death of Dr. Randy Pausch who did a speech in a lecture series which he called "Last Lecture", which asked professor what is the most important to them. He was diagnosed with terminal cancer and wanted to accomplish all of his childhood dreams before he died.

This is really fascinating to me and I have decided that before I turn 30 that I would like to accomplish some goals also. Since I have finished school and have yet to find a job, I wish that I could just work a different job every week and think it has already been done on television, but I would have to make money from that some kind of way because I still have to eat. Anyway, my child hood dream that I have always wanted was to be a ballerina, and of course since I'm black that would probably seem odd to some people. All some of us know is dancing to rap, I remember even when I was little and I was watching the ballet and my grandmother looked at me like why didn't I watch the black african ballet. In my opinion I respect all forms of music and most forms of dance. I just took a fascination to the technique and I believe that the tippy toe technique is practiced and is the basis for most dancers anyway, even if they end up doing hip hop. I am for my own people, but it gets frustrating when we are so close minded. This grandmother that talked about the african ballet is the same woman who hates my braids and says that "they were the only way we knew how to do our hair in slavery, but now we can get perms". I mean how contradictory is that? I will have more stories about her I'm sure.

So back off the soap box, uh I also wanted to play the piano, but that was thwarted when my mother picked me up from school and we went to the track meet where my brother was instead of dropping me off at my grandmother's who lived right across the street when she knew I had practice. Then my grandma and my mother were arguing in the parking lot of my school, so I didn't want to go back because I don't know why they had to beef about the thing, I should have just walked over there.

Just recently I have been interested in singing the opera, I love to sing, but I don't want to be the next Beyonce I have horrible stage freight, but I feel it would be less painful if I did something different, like sing jazz, or sing locally in jazz clubs, or be classically trained in Opera.

I kind of want to do movies and television, but the fame thing is just a big issue I don't want people in my business 24/7. I would probably shoot the paparazzi, so I would be in jail, because there would always be and assault charge on me for anybody that thinks they are gonna be flashing lights in my face, or touching my car trying to get a picture of me inside my car. It's just ridiculous. Yes I read just about all the entertainment blogs, but if that picture was taken while they were only trying to get the mail or leaving a store that's just ridiculous, I mean every body shops at high end stores that charge $500 for some torn jeans and a plain white tee, right, so what's the big deal.

I have always wanted to be a writer, I have umm writer's block with a book I was gonna write and this blogging is good enough because what is a magazine or a newspaper going to do with me I have a psychology... and human services degree not an english degree and sometimes I miss grammatical errors that were slapping me in the face.

Teacher, yes, but I have to take that GRE and I'm still tramatized by the SAT, if I can't get over that how will I ever take that test.

Face it people we are all dying and we don't know when it will happen, so I want to just enjoy it while I can, and I don't want to go out with regrets, so Thank you Dr. Pausch, you have inspired me to not fear the dead but enjoy the life I was given.

I already got the ball rolling. I auditioned for a stage play, but I had my eyes closed, but I can't say I regret it because at least I tried, and then I did a commercial and I sucked at it, but it was fun and I hope it's legitimate, I found the ad on craigslist, and you know that can be shady because they don't give you enough information and then you end up kidnapped, but luckily I'm still here.

What have you always dreamed of doing and do you think you will accomplish it in your lifetime?

Tech

Technorati Profile

Ode to D'Angelo....

I have to say hello this afternoon, to some people. First of all, Necole Bitchie reported about D'angelo and how he feels like an object after he did that untitled video, and to that I say, now you know how women feel. Yes blah blah he felt like he sold his sold and he came in as a fat nerdy kid, and they made him work out to get that body. Now he has lost it and he is a fat nerdy kid. I am not being insensitive, I'm sorry that the women harrassed you on stage and wanted you to get naked, but that is the industry and that is what women are expected to do in every video. I women has trouble getting any attention unless she is flinging out what her mama gave her for the world to see. It is almost like a revolution that for once a man knows what it is like to be a video ho.

Now D'angelo, I have an ear for good music (I'm talking to him like he will ever read this blog, lol), I have to say that you have the voice and the talent and as a woman I really only liked the song because of your voice. To me it was art, with all the zooming in and spinning around at just the right time to coincide with the music. I say come back, heck, come back fat, it worked for Luther and you know he had a beautiful voice. People need to start making music because it is their passion and not an image. Get it together D, do you. If I never hear your music on the radio at least go out to night clubs, some nice chill spots and sing and play that piano. Hey go back to the church if you have to. I just hate to see good music wasted and now, that I have gotten off of my soapbox, on to my shout out.

A shout out goes to http://blackcynic.com/blog/. Thank you for adding me to your blog roll. Your blog is everything I want my blog to be, someday, I'll get there. Okay, so I went to walmart and got those delicious "tata" wedges and some macoroni salad. Now potatoe salad is good most of the time, but macoroni salad is always suspect to me, it's a love hate thing. So I get home and eat my food. Everything was good even the salad, but my son came and started eating out of my plate and when he got to the salad he spit it out, I guess that should have been the first clue. No this Peche decides to take some to work. Now there was none of my shrimp leftover to bring, and I had bought a hot pocket yesterday when I was the store too, so why didn't I just bring that instead.

Food workers at McDonalds, burger king, and you too walmart, stop the nastiness. Why do you spit in people's food, just remember that the next time when you are on the other side of the counter and they say may I take your order. How many times have we been paranoid about complaining when our food is bad, or we had bad service. How many of us have to go home and eat the burnt burger because we would rather have it burnt then have salive floating around in it. Our generation of people must have a small population of people that actually have class, because it has been hard to find them in the food service occupation. I don't have to have service with a smile, but don't spread your bodily fluids either. Remember you McDonald's employee of the month, "What goes around comes around".

So I'm at work, eating my lunch, just a few minutes ago and the macoroni salad has a questionable texture when it hits my tongue. I want to throw my food up. I want to take the salad back to walmart and smash it in that girls face, but I didn't see her do it, I have no proof, I didn't have an attitude or role my eyes or even complain, so why walmart girl why. It could have occurred earlier when one of her coworkers sneeze because I really didn't see her do any questionable movements, but now it is so random you could breath wrong and they will turn on you quicker and eject their mouth mucous into your food. No one is safe anymore.

I just want to say, I deal with customers also and it can be frustrating but you have to remember that everyone has there own personality and you may take it the wrong why, but you are providing a service to other people, don't be fake and phony and don't take no sh%^ from anyone, but also, don't give none, literally. Just think food Workers, that could be with the snot in your burger so why do it to someone else...............

Just stop it.

Nigg$%

I love Nas if I wasn't engaged and my name was Kelis that would be my husband. Okay, my fiance' will kill me, but I have to say it. I have loved, okay, admired him since highschool when I had a crush on a guy with the same last name as Nas. Now that I am older it is a mature obsessi--- admiration. He is speaking my language everytime he raps or speaks. Last night I watched the colbert report or whatever that show is and I had just read something about his 600000 petition to fox and then I heard it a love song to my intellectual side. Okay it was a song to fox. I mean they are a little racist with there little comments on the sly "lynching party". Oh really O'reilly, that is funny, but makes a point.

He is a voice that the youth need to take notice of. Why can't the youth of today follow more intellectual trends. There are so many issues going on in this world and if the children are our future they need to make change in the way that they live their lives. I don't know why as a young child I was so caught up in black history and wasn't really trying to be like everyone else, but it is a good feeling to want to be different and know that I am not brainwashed by the glamorous life of the celebrity. I may be obsessed with Nas, but not just looks I am more interested in what he has to say, that beautiful mind.

I guess my fiance' wouldn't kill me if he knew that I have the same obsession with him. I never dated men for superficial means, yes they had to be attractive, but they couldn't be no dummies. You gotta be talkin' bout somethin'. And my boo although I wasn't listening when you were telling me about politics when we first met, I am trying to get better because over the years I have become somewhat of an airhead, but I have tried to get the intelligent me back and I think I was awakened last night when I was watching that Nigg$% Nas. Keep speaking the truth Nasty..... oh and my boo. Oh and go back and watch the Colbert report of Nas or whatever the show is on comedy central. I think it may be too late to sign the petition I'm not sure, but I would like to be apart of it. Hey I really don't watch Fox and friends anyway, that's a start, I just can't tolerate racism anymore, to me it is childish and the lowest form of human kind. Yes honestly we are all a little racist because any deviation from ourselves can be strange to us and annoying and sometimes we hate it, but we gotta start embracing our differences.

So O'Reilly and you friendly foxes, stop harrassing Obama and stop just being so close minded, i don't even watch your show because I am watching Cnn where they seem to favor Obama with no issue of him being black or white. They keep those thoughts to themselves when they are behind closed doors.......

Just wondering.........

How can it be a confirmation number if it has some letters in it?

Go Green

Tip #2

Did you know that you should unplug your cell phone charger when you aren't using it. I really like her jokes and she is ridiculous with this trip to Mexico. Falling asleep in the sun is almost perfect to round out this comic moment. If you need another assistant I am available.

Run's house

I just like it because although they have money and the kids are extra privileged they are somehow down to earth and I can really relate.

One day I will be able to figure out how to put pictures and videos to get people's attention, but for now, just use your own television and internet for images.

Anyway, I use to watch every reality show, but it is getting so old and so am I. I am just outgrowing them. Now I am down to real world and Ms. Kathy and Run's house. I am actually getting back into real sitcoms. George Lopez and King of Queens and my old black reruns like Good Times. Eventually I will probably get back into reading books and the newspaper and even watching the news. I think reality television has finally lost the trance it had over me, Thank God.

Go Green!!!

Tip #1 Don't reuse your water bottles. They can release toxins into whatever you refilled your water bottle with. I watched a show called "Ecozone". They did a celebrity house green makeover. I think the show is syndicated and I don't remember what channel it was on or what time. I just know it was on this weekend in the afternoon.
